About The Event

Teen Wild Trails (TWT) is an adventure program for environmentally passionate teens, ages 13-17, to explore Manatee County’s habitats and resources. TWT is hosted by the Manatee County Natural Resources Department in partnership with Big Waters Land Trust.

November 10, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm – Moody Branch Preserve Hike

In this challenging-level adventure, we will hike about 6 miles in a scrub habitat at Moody Branch Preserve (13805 Taylor Grade, Duette, FL 34219).

Please wear clothing appropriate for the outdoors, including comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes. Bring a water bottle, sun protection (hat and sunscreen), and insect repellent.

All participants should be able to keep up with the physical demands of being outdoors in Florida. This is a drop-off program. Adventures are limited to 10 participants. Two staff members knowledgeable in Wilderness Survival, First Aid, CPR, and AED will accompany club members.
