EcoTraveler series kick-off enjoys massive turnout

by Erin White

On January 23rd, Terry Cain, Lee County Parks & Recreation Land Stewardship Coordinator and John Kiseda, Lee County Parks & Recreation Environmental Education Coordinator presented "A Time Gone By", a multi-media seminar packed with little-known facts and folklore about Lee County.

Also packed that evening was the Eco Living Center at Rutenberg Park in Fort Myers.  A record 120 guests attended this event, surprising the presenters and exceeding all expectations.

Future presentations in the Eco Traveler series will be held at the same location.  On Wednesday February 27th, CROW will present "Interacting With Florida Wildlife".  On Wednesday March 27th, "Jungle" Pete Corradino of Everglades Day Safari will present "Everglades: Restoration and Exploration".

In light of the unexpected crowd last time, it is recommended that you arrive early to secure both parking and a seat! Coffee will be provided; bring your own mug to keep it "green".  For further details on these seminars, please click here to visit our EcoTraveler Series brochure.
