Are You Certifiable?
Currently Florida SEE has the support of 83 Associate Members of which we are extremely appreciative. It helps support our mission and allows us to bring educational programs to tour operators as well as supports our relatively inexpensive and yet robust certification program. The curious things is that of the 83 Associate Members, there are at least 7 that have been certified and an additional 49 that could be certified (One member is currently in the certification pipeline). The question is why have more tour operators not stepped up and challenged themselves to become the latest Florida SEE certified member? The benefits are tremendous.

• Certified members can market themselves as Florida SEE certified.
• We promote you as well.
• Local Convention and Visitor Bureaus and chambers welcome these green PR opportunities.
• Certified members stand out in a crowded market of “ecotours” and travelers are more and more savvy to making great vacation decisions.
• It costs $100 to apply. As Florida SEE grows, that number will increase, but for now certification is very inexpensive.
• Certification lasts for three years
• The certification process has helped every tour that gone through it focus their operations and improve them in many ways.
• Certified members help raise the bar for the industry and encourage other operators to become more ethical.
